Knowledge is power. If we seek the truth, it can give us the freedom to choose and make appropriate decisions.

Grief Work

In this world of constant change, I need to learn to cope with losses. In the face of losses, I can choose to cope with stress from the loss.

I will live in the present, learn from the past and go forward with new goals. I have courage to face life's problems, and do the grief work.

I can learn to adapt to the loss and be able to cope more effectively in the future. My gift from doing the grief work is a fuller life.

  1. I will grab hold of the fact that I have lost something both good and bad.

  2. I will review the positive and negative aspects of my loss.

  3. I will make peace with the disorganizing feelings of madness and "Ire" around the loss.

  4. I will develop an emotional balance regarding the love and hate feelings around the loss.

  5. In the future I will be consciously aware of my mixed beliefs, thoughts and feelings because of the loss. I will use the problem solving sequence, to cope more effectively with my loss.
